In effect
Energex and Ergon Energy are required to report each quarter on their performance about payments they make to customers for failing to meet guaranteed service levels (GSLs) for each quarter, as well as for the financial year to the end of that quarter. GSL payments acknowledge the inconvenience a customer experiences when Energex or Ergon Energy do not meet a GSL.
We use the quarterly information to produce an annual report on Energex’s and Ergon Energy’s performance.
Before 1 July 2014, distributors were required to report their performance against a set of minimum service standards (MSS) but after changes to the regulation of MSS, from 1 July 2014 distributors are no longer required to report that to us. Our annual reports now only include information on the distributors’ compliance with the GSLs.

The 2014–15 annual report was reissued in November 2015 after a minor amendment to Ergon’s June 2015 quarterly data.
