Each year Aurizon Network engages with stakeholders through the Rail Industry Group to develop its maintenance and renewals strategies and budgets for the following year.
If a special majority of end users in a system vote not to approve Aurizon Network’s final draft maintenance strategy and budget, then Aurizon Network must seek approval from the QCA.
2021–22 Newlands system
On 3 March 2021, Aurizon Network sought the QCA’s approval for its FY22 maintenance strategy and budget for the Newlands system.
