Request for declaration of the Carmichael rail network

On 6 September 2021, the QCA received a request from Michael Geoffrey Swifte to review and recommend declaration of the Carmichael rail network under Part 5 of the Queensland Competition Authority Act 1997.

Part 5 of the QCA Act sets out criteria for declaration recommendations, as well as the steps that are required before the QCA can recommend to the Minister that a service be declared.

The QCA is reviewing the request.
