The QCA released its final decision on 2010–11 notified prices on 28 May 2010.
In its final decision, the QCA calculated that the change in the Benchmark Retail Cost Index between 2009–10 and 2010–11 was 13.29%.
New notified prices were published in the Queensland Government Gazette on 28 May 2010, and applied from 1 July 2010.

The QCA released its draft decision on notified prices for 2010-11 on 18 December 2009.
The QCA’s draft decision estimated prices using the Benchmark Retail Cost Index (BRCI) as required by the Electricity Act 1994. Prices were estimated to increase by 13.83% between 2009-10 and 2010-11.
Submissions closed on 12 February 2010.

The QCA released an interim consultation notice in relation to notified electricity prices for 2010–11 on 23 October 2009.
Submissions closed on 9 November 2009. We received nine submissions. The interim consultation notice and all submissions can be accessed below.
On 7 April 2010, the QCA received a delegation from the Minister for Natural Resources, Mines and Energy and Minister for Trade to calculate notified prices for 2010–11. The certificate of delegation can be accessed below.
