Retailers' response to the 2026–27 DMO

As directed by the Treasurer, we have published a report on how retailers in south-east Queensland have responded to the lower Default Market Offer (DMO) that the Australian Energy Regulator has set for 2026–27. Our report shows how standing offers changed between June 2026 and the first week of July 2026, how retailers adjusted the supply and usage charges of their standing and market offers during this period, whether retailers’ offers were below, equal to, or above the DMO, and how outcomes for customers varied by their consumption level.
